Celebrating the 1986 Southern Conference Tournament Championship

Greetings to everyone visiting this webpage; I hope you enjoy it.  I hereby dedicate this webpage to my nephews, nieces, and students...all of whom now view me as nothing more than a worthless has-been.  I confess that making this webpage brought back plenty of great memories.

For me it all started in Ringgold, Georgia where I played at Ringgold High School.  My freshman year I played for the late Bill Womack; it was an incredible year for all of us.  The previous year our 8th grade team went 1-18, but under his guidance we won the freshman tournament.  We got a taste of winning...what a year that was for all of us!

Some of my highlights as a basketball player:
  • Second-Team All-State in Georgia in 1982.
  • Davidson Team Captain and MVP in 1985 & 1986.
  • Second Team All-Southern Conference in 1986
  • Winning the Southern Conference Tournament in 1986!
  • MVP Southern Conference Tournament in 1986.
  • Beating Notre Dame, South Carolina twice, Texas Tech, University of Massachusetts, and UNCC three times.

  • Played professionally in Argentina (Club Independiente de Neuquén) and El Salvador (Club Rolls Royce).
  • Played against numerous NBA players such as Johnny Dawkins, Mark Alarie, Chris Mullin, Walter Berry, Bill Wennington, Ron Harper, Brad Dougherty, Joe Dumars, Sam Mitchell, Mark Jackson, Winston Bennett, Kenny Walker, Willie White, Gerald Wilkins, Mike Brown, Tyrone Corbin, Delaney Rudd, Tyrone Bogues, Kenny Green, John Salley, and the great Len Bias
